I bought a refurb Macbook Pro (the revision right before the unibody or Rev E if you prefer) and love it. Technically this computer can use 8 gigs of RAM, but OSX doesn't support it yet. Apparently Snow Leopard will though when it comes out later this year. Right now I'm at 6 and it's running fine.
Anyway, I'd recommend going with a refurb of the older model after the fiasco I had with my Rev A Macbook!
